Insurance has to be the biggest scam ever... I've had a leak in my shower, its done a lot of damage, and sadly it went unnoticed for a long time, since I shower every morning, and head off to work, I never saw the dripping from the kitchen window gable that would occur 10-20mins later
But finally the insurance sent someone to look, they did some measuring, banged a few holes in the bedroom dividing wall to see where the leak was and off they went.
Today I get a call, that indeed the leak exists, its been caused by the connection from the shower base, to the drain pipe, the seal has given way and a fair proportion of waste water is just ending up in the floor......ie....not the drain pipe, not the buildings drain pipe, but the seal that was installed when the shower was 1st fitted...when the building was done...so...sorry mate you're bang outta luck, insurance won't pay.
Total fuckers, absolute total fuckers... Its going to cost a small fortune, as the water has led to a lot of damage to the dividing walls and any timbers that might be on the path the water took to escape... fuck fuck fuck,.
no holidays for us for a few years...
